About our Puppy Food
Puppies should be weaned at the earliest 7-8 weeks of age and ideally fed with a complete and balanced, handmade diet. This is crucial to prevent future allergies and food intolerance during adult years.
Vet Nutritionist Clinic carefully allocate ingredients that are the best for puppies to develop oral tolerance to foreign matter (food). This will allow their bodies to accept vital nutrients, rather than produce sensitivities to their immune system that will slowly cause allergies. Feeding commercial food to puppies can cause this type of inflammation, food intolerance and intestinal problems.
Research suggests that the best option for both healthy puppies and those with medical conditions is a complete and balanced, handmade diet. That’s where we come in with our fresh-frozen meals.
Our accredited veterinary nutritionist, with 30+ years of experience in small animal medicine and clinical nutrition, formulates tailored diets prepared in our kitchen with human-grade, high-quality ingredients.
Various meal plans can be chosen that are hypoallergenic, rich in essential nutrients and customised to your puppy's specific needs.
We add ingredients that are sensitive to high temperatures, such as: oils, vitamins, minerals, taurine, carnitine, when meals are at room temperature and ready to be packed. Our handmade meals are minimally processed to maintain the quality of the ingredients.
Compare the different types of dog food selling on the market with our Artisan Handmade meals and you will observe a difference. Our meals are created with expertise and passion by Veterinarians and Veterinary Nutritionists who understand and respect their craft, allowing you to feed your beloved pet perfectly healthy and irresistible meals.
Varieties of meals
For healthy puppies: All essential minerals and vitamins, essential fatty acids, DHA, EPA, antioxidants and prebiotics are included. Other essential nutrients and herbs are professionally chosen to fight inflammation of skin, allergic reactions and to give strength to organs and tissues. We take in consideration your dog's breed predispositions, activity status, allergies to food, immunity weakness and personal taste preferences.
For puppies with predisposition to health problems or existing health conditions: We prepare healthy meals to help prevent the specific health issues in their adult age. For example, certain breeds of dogs that require more Taurine in meals will require this from the early age to help prevent developing dilated heart failure as an adult. Another example, Dalmatian puppies prone to developing urinary stones will be fed meals specifically designed to prevent future issues related to this health condition.
We might require information from your treating Veterinarian on medical diagnosis and recent test results and list of medications your puppy is currently on, to provide our Vet Nutritionist all necessary details for creating the most effective formula. Our senior Vet experienced in small animal medicine might communicate with your Vet if necessary, via our email: vetnutritionistclinic9@gmail.com.
All our meals are formulated and created in accordance with AAFCO dog nutritional requirements.
